Exhibition: fantastic animals take over the Louvre-Lens

From prehistory to pop culture, fantastic animals have always fascinated and frightened humanity. These dragons, griffins, sphinxes and unicorns are at the heart of an exhibition at the Louvre-Lens, in the north of France. Rich in some 250 works – sculptures, paintings, tapestries and comics – it traces the history and metamorphoses of this fantastic bestiary over the centuries and millennia.
