The National Library of France has brought out treasures from its reserves to introduce the general public to the great adventure of printing, which revolutionized the dissemination of culture and religious texts. A teeming exhibition that presents exceptional pieces, such as the oldest known western woodcut, the Bois Protat, the oldest preserved work in the world printed from metal typeface, the Jikji which comes from Korea and had not been shown to the public for 50 years, and the first major European print: the Bible by Gutenberg dated 1455.
