The Centro Cultural PGE-RJ inaugurates, this Friday (5), the exhibition “Nuances de Brasilidade: Repertório”, with works by 14 Brazilian artists that belong to private collections in Rio de Janeiro.

With free admission, the event features established names and new talents. Among the attractions are Abraham Palatnik, Emanoel Araújo, Mario Cravo Neto, Frans Krajcberg, Gustavo and Otávio Pandolfo (Osgemeos), Santídio Pereira and Kilian Glasner.

“We start from the concept of Brazilianness as a guiding principle. It is perceived in three aspects. In some of the works, it is reflected in the central theme of the work, in others, in the choice of materials used in the production and, in a third, it occurs through the interiorization and influence of nature and local culture on the authors”, highlighted curator Cecília Fortes.

For the attorney Anderson Schreiber, the exhibition also revealed the feeling of collaboration of the collectors from Rio de Janeiro and Rio de Janeiro to the PGE’s request to loan the works.

“Arts supporters in the city and state of Rio de Janeiro promptly responded to the Attorney General’s call to contribute, handing over works from their private collections free of charge”, he said.
