The expatriate community is still reeling from the impact of the accidental death of a five-member Malayalee family in Saudi Arabia. He is survived by his wife, husband and three children. Relatives and friends in various countries in the Gulf and in Kerala could not bear the loss of loved ones. The deceased were identified as Muhammad Jabir (48), wife Shabna (36), children Saiba (7), Saha (5) and Lutfi, a resident of Beypore, Kozhikode. The car of the Saudi national was hit by the car they were traveling in.

Muhammad Jabir was the field officer of the Abdul Latif Jameel Company. He was transferred to Jizan a week ago. The accident happened while the family was returning here. Jabir and his family set off in their own car after loading their belongings into another vehicle. The family was not seen when the household items arrived in Jizan, but the investigation revealed that they were in danger. The bodies are in the Al Rayne General Hospital Mortuary.

Jabir was a gentleman who was active in the community. Colleagues said he was also very sincere at work. Riyadh – based social activists Siddique Tuvvoor, Al Rain’s KMCC activist Shaukat and Jizan social activist Haris Kallai are in the process of retrieving the bodies. Minister Mohammad Riyaz has informed relatives that the process of repatriating the bodies will be expedited.
