People also suffer from the presence of poisonous insects due to parking in unsafe dark places.

The district has railway stations at Virudhunagar, Arupukottai, Thiruchuzhi, Sivakasi, Narikudi, Srivilliputhar, Rajapalayam, Chatthar.

Due to the lack of basic facilities including roof facilities in the parking lots here, vehicles are parked in the sun and rain for days and weeks.

They are in good condition and unlikely to be damaged by repairs, although the property is protected.

At these railway stations, contract administrations are focused on charging parking charges and not improving basic facilities. The railway administration doesn’t see it either. Due to this, the vehicles of passengers going on long journeys wither in the sun and rain and break down.

As most of the railway stations are on the outskirts of the city and its parking lots are located along dark areas, the movement of poisonous insects is also high. Thus, they are released from the car engines during rain, snow and night for heat. There is a way to attack the car pickers. Therefore, a quality wire fence should be erected around the parking area. If the perimeter fence is erected to prevent the entry of poisonous insects, its movement will be reduced.

Therefore, the railway administrations should come forward to ensure quality security of vehicles by installing roofs, wire fences in the parking lots. People’s representatives should report such basic facilities to the Rail Passenger Facilities Committee which is coming for inspection.
