Former BJP minister Harak Singh Rawat has lamented that he was expelled from the Uttarakhand cabinet and party without saying a word to him. The video, in which he tearfully says he was never even discussed about being expelled from the party, is now viral.
‘Before making such a big decision, I was not even informed or talked about once. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi called but was delayed in arriving due to traffic congestion. He was on his way to Delhi to meet Home Minister Amit Shah. But by then, they had leaked information about me on social media. ‘ Harak Singh Rawat said. I do not want to be a minister. He said he only wanted to work for the people.
Meanwhile, he predicted that the Uttarakhand Congress would win in the coming assembly elections and he would now co-operate with the Congress. He also announced that he would work for Congress. He denied reports that he had earlier held talks with the Congress.
On Tuesday night, former forest minister Harak Singh Rawat was expelled from the cabinet and the party. The party’s move comes amid strong indications that Rawat may return to Congress. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Dhomi has informed the Governor about the dismissal of the minister. Harak Singh Rawat was one of the ten MLAs who defected to the BJP in 2016 in protest against Congress leader Harish Rawat.
