jpnn.comJAMBI – The Siginjai Keris Festival will take place at the Graha Sinjai, Jambi Mayor’s Office on August 1-3, 2024.

A number of activities were carried out that focused on increasing creativity and education in events included in the Kenduri Swarnabhumi 2024 series, including the Solok Sipin batik motif design competition and educational tours to Solok Sipin Temple.

The Solok Sipin batik motif design competition itself has started since Saturday (27/7), where the batik motif works will be displayed at the batik exhibition during the festival.

This competition, which was participated by various groups of students, not only aimed to foster creativity among students, but also to introduce and preserve local cultural heritage, especially Solok Sipin Temple.

Jambi Local Curator, Didin Siroz, said the Siginjai Keris Festival involves many young generations and is related to the inheritance of cultural and historical values.

“The Siginjai Keris Festival in Kenduri Swarnabhumi is expected to provide positive energy to the community, because it involves many young generations and is related to the inheritance of cultural and historical values,” said Didin in a statement quoted on Saturday (3/8).

The Solok Sipin Batik motif design competition took place on the 4th floor of Graha Siginjai and was attended by 58 students from junior high and high school levels.

Participants competed enthusiastically to display batik designs inspired by the beauty and history of Solok Sipin Temple.

The Siginjai Keris Festival, which is part of the 2024 Kenduri Swarnabhumi series, is enlivened by various activities that explore the history of the Solok Sipin Temple.
