The official spokesman of the Election Commission of Iran said: “In view of the continuous influx of people to the presidential elections across the country, the voting time in all branches will be extended until 22:00.”
The official spokesman for the headquarters of elections in Iran, Mohsen Islami, confirmed earlier today, Friday, that popular participation increased compared to the first round of the elections.
Islami said, “The voting process started smoothly from its launch and continues till 6:00 pm after which it can continue with the approval of the Minister of Interior.”
He added, “The reports received show a higher rate of popular participation in the elections compared to the same time in the first round of the elections,” pointing out that “according to the law, the representatives of the -candidates in polling stations. campaign against any of the candidates or interfere with the work of the polling, inspectors, and supervisors.” Members of the Council of Guardians, and in case of violation, they will be expelled from the polling station.”
