Extreme H world Cup Secures Broad Global Broadcast Deals Ahead of October Launch

MBC Group, a leading free-to-air broadcaster in the Middle East and North Africa, has joined a growing roster of networks set to air the inaugural Extreme H World Cup, signaling the rising global interest in this new hydrogen-powered off-road racing series.

The deal with MBC covers the MENA region and includes broadcast rights for Extreme E’s ‘Final Lap’ event, taking place this weekend as the electric series transitions to hydrogen power. MBC will then broadcast the inaugural Extreme H World Cup from October 9 to 11, held in Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya City. The broadcasts will feature live races,highlights,preview shows,and behind-the-scenes content in English,Arabic,and Fasi.

The expansion of broadcast partners demonstrates the growing appeal of Extreme H,wich aims to champion sustainable motorsport technology. DAZN will provide worldwide free-to-air coverage through its streaming platform, while a partnership with Ziggo Sport extends coverage to the Netherlands and adds Mexico and Central America to Fox sports’ existing US rights agreement.

Coverage in Asia will be provided by SPOTV, reaching audiences in Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Hong Kong, Laos, Macau, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, thailand, and Indonesia. A important broadcast partnership with Warner Bros. discovery in July will bring the series to over 50 territories across Europe via Eurosport, with dedicated coverage in the UK and Ireland through TNT Sports. Further UK coverage has been secured through a separate agreement with ITV.

Earlier in the year, Extreme H announced a rights deal with Sony Pictures Network in India, encompassing both linear and digital platforms. ESPN will broadcast the series in Latin America, covering Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and Chile. Mediaset in Italy has also secured a deal to cover the 2025 Extreme H season, building on its existing coverage of Extreme E since 2021.
