Eyal Lior, CEO of Peninsula, Retires After 14 Years with the Company

Eyal Lior, the CEO of Peninsula, is retiring from his position after 14 years with the company, including the past year and a half as CEO. The retirement is by mutual agreement of the parties, and Lior expressed his desire to start a new path after a long and successful tenure at Peninsula, where he played a pivotal role in promoting the company to become a leading and growing entity in the non-bank credit industry.

Jackie Cohen, who has been the chairman of the company for the past seven months, will be appointed interim CEO until a permanent CEO is appointed. Cohen brings with him 28 years of experience, having held a variety of senior positions at Bank Hapoalim, with his most recent role being the manager of the business department. In 2021, Cohen also served as the CEO of the foreign credit company Bankai A.I.K.N. Ilan Raviv will act as chairman of the company.

In response to his retirement, Eyal Lior commented, “After 14 years at Peninsula in a variety of positions, I decided together with the company’s board of directors to turn to a new path. I am happy about the path, the challenges and the success of Peninsula. I thank the management, the board and the employees of Peninsula for having a home for me.”

Cohen also expressed his gratitude towards Lior, stating, “I want to thank Eyal for his great contribution to the growth of Peninsula’s activity, especially against the background of times of many changes, challenges and opportunities in the economy in general and in the non-bank credit industry in particular.”

As Peninsula undergoes this leadership transition, the company has also announced open job positions in Bizportal for editor/reporter and secretarial positions. The positions can be part-time and offer flexibility in working hours, including the ability to work from home. Experience in writing and basic familiarity with the capital market is preferred.

Overall, these recent changes reflect a period of transition and growth at Peninsula, and the company is optimistic about the future with its new leadership in place.
