How to recover your Facebook account if you forgot your password?

Several of the users whose session was closed have managed to log back into Facebook without problems.

However, if the platform asks you for your password and you do not remember it, you can:

1. Click ‘Forgot your password?’ or go to this link (copy and paste it into your cell phone or computer browser).

2. Write your cell phone number.

3. Select one of the ‘login method’ options to have an access code sent to you: via WhatsApp, text message or email. (Due to the platform being down, the arrival of the code may take several minutes).

4. Enter the code and you can log in.

5. If the code does not arrive, choose the option to ‘send code via a Facebook notification’ under ‘login method’.

6. They will be able to send you the code via Messenger. OR Remember which other device you may have your Facebook account open on, for example, your computer or tablet, and check there if the notification has arrived to log in on the other devices.

7. Once you have managed to log in to your Facebook account, go to the ‘Settings’, ‘Account Center’ and ‘Password and security’ sections. Change your password and write it down so you don’t forget it.
