Since January 22, demonstrators have set up blockades on the archipelago, in order to express their anger at illegal immigration and the increase in delinquency. The situation is so untenable that the Minister of the Interior has decided to tackle the problem head on, by announcing the pure and simple abolition of land rights in Mayotte.
