Bulwark, the spiritual sequel to Falconeer, will also be available on consoles starting next year.
The editor Wired Productions and award-winning independent developer Tomas Sala have announced that The Falconeer, Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles It will also have console versions. After presenting the project for PC a few months ago, we can now confirm that the game will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. When? We no longer know exactly that, we just know that will arrive in the very near 2024.
Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles is the spiritual sequel to the award-winning aerial combat game The Falconeer. This game was published in 2020 as a launch exclusive on Xbox Series X|S. Set in the same universe but 40 years later, Bulwark goes from aerial combat to city construction. We will have a fantastic open world that will act as a canvas for us to unleash all our creativity.
In it new trailer that we leave you at the end of this article, we can take a first look at the vast reach of Bulwark beyond its cozy city building system. Creating a fortress is one thing, but to grow our empire and influence in The Great Ursee we will need to master the strategy of the game. We will have to establish trade routes, manage resources, forge alliances and even embark on military conquests.
Developer Tomas Sala explained the following in a statement published alongside the announcement of the console versions:
Developing for console means that you have to create a game that controls like an instrument, without looking at what you’re doing, intuitively from your fingers into the game world, which I honestly love doing: putting yourself, the player, in a world. with as few layers as possible between you and whatever you’re experiencing.
Lastly, the Bulwark trailer also shows some examples of the impressive settlements that we will be able to create, as well as new game features that were not seen during the PC development demo that came out earlier this year. These include new progression methods and strategic elements which allow players to ally or wage war with the inhabitants of Ursee.
