Palakkad: A husband beheaded his wife following a family quarrel. The incident took place at Kodakkad Amiyamkunnu. The deceased has been identified as Ayishakutty (35), wife of Chakkalakkunnan Hamsa of Kodakkad. Hamsa (45) surrendered to the local police.
The incident happened at 5.30pm on Friday. The incident took place in the rubber plantation behind the house. Following a family quarrel, Hamsa hit Ayesha on the head with a piece of wood. He then surrendered at the police station.
The neighbors only found out about it after the police arrived. According to locals, the two used to quarrel frequently.
