Winston Groom, author of the novel “Forrest Gump”, died at the age of 77 in Fairhope, Alabama. After serving with the military in Vietnam, he worked as a reporter for the Washington Star before turning to novels. «Forrest Gump», published in 1986, made him famous in the world, also thanks to the film that was based on it. After the release of the film in 1995, he released a sequel entitled “Gump and Co”.
