Fargo Police Arrest Man in armed Robbery of University Drive Business

A 60-year-old Fargo man was arrested saturday in connection with an armed robbery at a local business,authorities confirmed. timothy Hampton now faces felony charges and is being held at the Cass County Jail.

Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 11:35 a.m.on Saturday, reporting a robbery in progress at a business located in the 2400 block of University Drive South. According to police reports, staff members reported being threatened by a male suspect wielding a pistol. The suspect reportedly fled the scene on foot.

Following an inquiry, officers identified Hampton as the individual responsible for the robbery. The investigation involved canvassing the surrounding area, during which officers received information from a concerned citizen indicating Hampton was staying at a hotel nearby.

Acting on this tip, law enforcement located Hampton at a hotel in the 1300 block of 21st Avenue South.He was taken into custody without incident.

“Officers were able to quickly apprehend the suspect thanks to the cooperation of the public,” a senior official stated.

The Fargo Police Department has not released further details regarding the stolen property or the motive behind the robbery at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
