“I express my gratitude to the Baku Improvement Center for supporting this tournament for the second year.”
As reported by İdman.biz, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gaibov told reporters this before the final of the 2nd mini-football tournament held between villages and settlements in Baku.
The minister said that cooperation in the field of judo also continues with the Baku Improvement Center:
“Judo competitions were also held among the villages of Baku. I take this opportunity to urge other businessmen and companies to support sports. This is a big step for the development of children’s football. In addition, last year we held two international tournaments for children under 15 years old. We think that the more such tournaments there are, the more our children will develop. In the future, these children will become members of the national team.”
Gaibov said that the number of mass sporting events is increasing every year:
“We have a project “Healthy Lifestyle”. We even held this event in Nakhchivan. This project is also organized in different regions of Azerbaijan. Competitions are held in various sports – running, swimming, etc. I would like to express my gratitude to all sports federations. Everyone takes an active part. They are actively working towards increasing mass participation, as well as in training professional athletes.
