After their pan-Hellenic meeting in Larissa, the farmers decided to escalate the mobilizations until their demands are met. They agreed to close the roads with tractors in national, provincial and customs at the same time, while next week they are warming up their engines to go down with the tractors to Athens.
Also, during the meeting, the president of the Federation of Agricultural Associations of Larissa, Maroudas, said that “Greece must be filled with blocks and tractors and if there is no answer, all these streams will become a river that will go to Athens and flood the capital”.
Which roads will be closed?
Today at 17:00 in the afternoon, the farmers of Platykampo have planned to close the Athens-Thessalonica EO. At the same time, the farmers of Karditsa are planning to close the E65 highway, while later they will also enter Karditsa.
Furthermore, the farmers from Serres are preparing to close the customs office of Evzona, while at the same time the farmers who are in the block of Polykastros will head towards the customs office of Promahonas.
Finally, in Achaia, the farmers are considering three scenarios: To close the Rio-Antirrio “Charilaos Trikoupis” bridge, to close the Athens-Corinth highway at the height of the Isthmus, or to pass with their tractors through Patras.

After the pan-Hellenic meeting at the Nice Cultural Center in Larissa, the farmers stated that their demands are:
- Duty free agricultural oil
- 7 minutes per kilowatt hour of electricity
- Subsidy on supplies and animal feed
- The new CAP should not be implemented and renegotiated
- 100% refunds and replacement of lost income on products
- No to illegal Greekizations
Having formulated their demands, the representatives of the farmers from the blocs across the territory decided:
- To escalate the mobilizations
- To close at the same time at all points in the national, provincial and customs with tractors
- Make every block actions in the city
- To hold a tractor rally in Athens next week
