A rare play tonight (Saturday) in the Portuguese league. Despite Corona’s outburst at the unfortunate Blanch, the league manager was unable to postpone her deal with Benfica and she appeared for the home game against the Empire from Lisbon with a squad of 9 players. One of the fielders by the way, was the substitute goalkeeper.
Benfica led 0: 7 until the break and at the second half Blanchash came with only 7 players due to “injuries”. Benfica took the lead in the first minute after an own goal and later did not feel sorry for the unfortunate opponent. Darwin Nunez scored a hat-trick, Harris Sprowitz added a pair of Julian Weigel contributed one to set up a 0-7 draw with the break cut.
Blanchard came into the game in 16th place out of 18, with 15 mandatory goals. Benfica, who as usual are battling Porto and Sporting Lisbon for the championship title, could have made a very big profit from tonight’s game – if the goal difference will be crucial at the end of the season. But the match did not come to an end and now it remains to be seen whether there will be a replay, or whether Blanchash will be punished with a technical loss.
