Woman and Unborn Baby Killed in Bala Cynwyd Car Crash

Tragedy struck in Bala Cynwyd on Saturday afternoon as a woman and her unborn baby were killed in a car crash, according to authorities.

The incident occurred just before 3 p.m. on West Rock Hill Road near the intersection of Bryn Mawr Avenue. Police reported that a car hit two parked vehicles and five pedestrians, leading to a physical altercation among the individuals involved.

The woman, who was a pedestrian struck in the crash, was rushed to a nearby hospital where both she and the unborn baby tragically succumbed to their injuries. The condition of the other four pedestrians taken to the hospital remains unknown.

In the aftermath of the crash, the section of West Rock Hill Road was closed for nearly five hours as police began their investigation into the incident. The Lower Merion Township Police Traffic Safety Unit is now leading the ongoing investigation.
