PayVerse and imweb Partner to Streamline Global Payments for E-Commerce Businesses
A new partnership between PayVerse, a global integrated payment platform, and imweb, a leading Korean shopping mall solution, promises to dramatically simplify international transactions for over one million businesses. The collaboration, announced on Thursday, will provide seamless access to over 140 global payment methods, eliminating complex development hurdles for companies seeking to expand their reach.
Expanding Global Reach for Korean Businesses
The alliance aims to significantly improve payment accessibility and boost payment success rates for online retailers and service providers looking to tap into international markets. Currently, imweb supports a robust domestic e-commerce ecosystem, processing over 7 trillion won in cumulative transactions. Through this integration with PayVerse, imweb-based businesses will gain access to a diverse range of popular local payment options, including Apple Pay, PayPal, Alipay, and WeChat Pay, alongside established international credit cards like VISA and Mastercard.
Favors Platform Powers the Integration
The technology underpinning this expansion is the Favors platform, operated by Eromnet. Favors distinguishes itself by enabling customers to transact in their local currency while providing merchants with consolidated settlement in their preferred currency. Its strength lies in its comprehensive integration of over 140 global payment methods, spanning key regions like China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Latin America, all managed through a centralized, real-time transaction monitoring system.
Streamlining Payments and Boosting Conversions
“Through this partnership, we have created an environment in which domestic online businesses can link global payment methods much more easily,” stated a senior official at Eromnet. “It is meaningful in providing practical infrastructure that can increase the payment success rate and conversion rate for overseas customers, and we will continue to expand payment options in the future.”
Targeting New Markets and Pioneering Innovation
Beyond facilitating outbound transactions, PayVerse is actively targeting the reverse direct purchase market following its official launch in Korea in 2024. Looking ahead to 2025, the company plans to further enhance its global payment ecosystem by introducing Apple Pay support for overseas-issued cards – a first for the Korean market. This move underscores PayVerse’s commitment to innovation and securing a competitive edge in the rapidly evolving landscape of international payments.
