A disaster occurred at a tourist attraction in Bentong, Malaysia, in the end a 16-year-old boy was found dead tragically. The boy, whose name was not released to the media, visited a “haunted” house set up with the aim of scaring the participants into it and making them believe they were inside a scene from a horror movie. The brave boy was unable to withstand the intensity of the panic he experienced inside the horror house, and suffered a heart attack during his stay.

According to the Malaysian news site Kosmo, the boy was visiting the attraction on December 1, when he suddenly began to feel unwell. After several screams of panic as a result of the sights he saw inside the horror house, the boy collapsed on the floor. At this point, the staff of the place intervened and immediately evacuated the participant, in a situation that was documented and uploaded to social networks.

In the video, which is almost three minutes long, the unconscious boy can be seen taken from the tourist attraction for treatment at a nearby hospital. He was reportedly very pale and did not respond during medical treatment. Bentong County Commander Zayham Superintendent Mohad Kahar explained that the tragedy was classified as a sudden death, and that the boy’s body was sent back to the city of Malacca, where he lives with his family. Inspector Kahar also confirmed that the autopsy indicated a heart attack.

According to the Cleveland Clinic Medical Center, unexpected panic and fear can trigger heart attacks in people, but this is rare when it comes to young boys. The main risk group in such cases is a group of people who have already been diagnosed with heart disease.
