The Spanish Fermín Aldeguer (Boscoscuro) has dominated the official classification for the Malaysian Grand Prix of Moto2at the Sepang circuit, to add the third consecutive pole position.

Aldeguer set a best time of 2:05.288 with which He was more than half a second ahead of his immediate pursuer, the Italian Celestino Vietti (Kalex), who ended up on the ground, without consequences for his physical integrity, and with the also Spanish Manuel González, third.

The South African Darryn Binder (Kalex) could not compete in the first classification, suffering a fall in the morning which forced him to go to a Kuala Lumpur hospital for a more in-depth examination that initially diagnosed two broken fingers on one hand and discomfort in his left ankle that required an ultrasound.

Jaume Masiá sets a new record and achieves his sixth pole of the season

Binder absent, in the first classification the interest focused on to know if the Italian Tony Arbolino (Kalex), very weak in free practice, would be able to improve to be in the second classification, a goal that was met.

Arbolino was the first leader of that classification with a time of 2:05.724 in his third lap, supported by the Spanish Albert Arenas (Kalex), the Japanese Tetsuda Haga (Kalex) and the American Joe Roberts (Kalex), without changes in that order in the final minutes .

Jeremy Alcoba (Kalex), finished in twenty-first positionwith Alex Escrig (Kalex), two positions further back and Izan Guevara (Kalex), who suffered a fall in the morning but was able to compete in the official classification, twenty-fifth.

Already in the second classification, Fermín Aldeguer was once again the first benchmark in his second lap with 2:02.288, followed by his compatriots Manuel González, Arón Canet and Marcos Ramírez, all of them on Kalex trails, and with a “hot” Tony Arbolino, in fifth position.

Hot for the fact that he arrived from the first classification and that allowed him to be quite fast from the beginning, with his rival for the title, Pedro Acosta, in a delayed twelfth place, without taking more risks than strictly necessary.

Arbolino lost a position when his compatriot Celestino Vietti (Kalex) placed second, although he still had seven minutes of training left, who Czech Filip Salac could no longer continuewhich went down before the tire change.

At the start of the track with the second new rear tire, all the drivers were going to have the option of doing a maximum of two fast laps and the first to take advantage of their opportunity was Pedro Acosta, who went from twelfth to sixth place and shortly after in turn four the Italian Celestino Vietti and Arón Canet went to the ground.

The first and actually the only one, since no one could beat the time of Fermín Aldeguer, who will be accompanied on the first line by Celestino Vietti and Manuel González, with Aron Canet, Marcos Ramírez and Pedro Acosta on the second, ahead of Tony Arbolino, the British Jake Dixon (Kalex) and the Thai Somkiat Chantra (Kalex).

The fourth line ended up in the hands of Joe Roberts, Sam Lowes and Sergio García Dolswith Ai Ogura, Barry Baltus and Alonso López (Boscoscuro), in the fifth, and Albert Arenas, Tetsuta Hada and Filip Salac in the sixth.
