The front end is probably the perception that most looks like a traditional Ferrari, but under the hood is the 830 HP naturally aspirated V12 engine that changes everything.

The automotive world has the same contradictions that can be seen in many other activities. Although deep processes of change are initiated based on new paradigms such as sustainability, the path to achieving these objectives is full of twists and turns, with the appearance of unexpected obstacles and side effects that cannot be ignored.

The best example is electric cars and the problems they face in fulfilling the role assigned to them as a means of mobility that allows the planet to decarbonize, but they have to rely on electricity generators that run on gas and coal, emitting tons of CO2 into the atmosphere in the process.

Ferrari, perhaps one of the most representative brands ever in internal combustion technology with its famous V12 engines, is also focused on the transformation towards sustainable technology for its future cars. In fact, the roadmap is the year 2025 to present its first 100% electric sports vehicle, as part of an electrification process that should achieve only 40% of its cars with thermal engines by 2026, 55% hybrid and 5% completely electric, and in 2030 keep only 20% internal combustion engines, 40% hybrid and the other 40% pure electric.

The front end is probably the perception that most looks like a traditional Ferrari, but under the hood is the 830 HP naturally aspirated V12 engine that changes everything.

However, Ferrari is Ferrari and it continues to surprise, because of its announcement that only 20% of its vehicles will be powered by a gasoline engine by the end of this decade, it has done nothing but price each new car at a much higher level with that technology that will be made in the coming years.

So, as a real blow, it has launched a new model on the market which, from the name, is a reflection of that clear objective of adding value to its flagship engine. This is the Ferrari 12 cylinder, a two-seater sedan that aims to perfectly embody the DNA of the Prancing Horse with a naturally aspirated 12-cylinder engine, no turbo, no hybridization, simply a V12 and nothing else.

The engine is the F140HD, an impressive 6.5-liter V12 with an architectural capacity of 65 °, which allows it to deliver no less than 830 HP of power at 9,250 RPM. If you read correctly, a V12 spinning at more than 9,000 revolutions per minute is synonymous with a true symphony. With a cubic filling capacity of its 12 cylinders, the torque is naturally high, 678 Nm at 7,250 RPM, although 80% of that torque is already from 2,500 RPM rather than 80% of that torque.
