Fewer tick bites were reported last year than in previous years. In all provinces, the number of reported bites was below the average of recent years. An exception to this is the province of Flevoland, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) reported on Monday based on figures from the Tick Radar. The decrease may be due to last year’s dry weather.
