With his spirit as a guide, the central activities for the birth of the Commander in Chief, on August 13, and International Youth Day, on the previous day, took place in Artemisa properties, specifically in Candelaria.
More than 150 young people from Artemisa, led by Aylín Álvarez García, First Secretary of the Committee of the Union of Young Communists, and together with the National Bureau, contributed hours of voluntary work in cleaning, decorating and restoring the Camping Area, in the center mixed Eastern Republic of Uruguay, in the heart of the Las Terrazas Tourist Complex.
At the same time, the young communists donated two modules of teaching materials, and flags of the UJC and the José Martí Pioneers Organization, for which Daniel Pérez Pérez, director of the school, thanked them.
The days of celebration included talks about Fidel among the youth, and how to keep him alive among us. The media war, the influence of social networks, also occupied the agenda.
On the first day, also together with the top leaders of the student organizations of the country and the province, they were surprised by the night at the Anti-Imperialist Camp, while they were setting up tents, in one of the first campsites in Cuba, El Taburete, inaugurated by Fidel , to whom they also dedicated that night wrapped by the light of a campfire.
And in the Mausoleum to the Martyrs of Artemis, the tribute to the historical leader of the Cubans, who is a symbol of eternal youth, concluded.
