Film fraternity mourns the death of director and actor E. Ramadoss

Chennai: Tamil film director and actor E. Ramadoss died of a heart attack. He was 66. The film industry is mourning his death.

E. Ramadas’ death was confirmed by his son Kalaichelvan on his social media page. In it he mentioned that my father director, writer and actor E. Ramadoss passed away due to a heart attack. I am sad to inform you that his last rites will be held at his residence on 24/01/2023 at 11 am.”

E. Ramadoss’ death has shocked the film industry. Film industry celebrities are expressing their condolences. Hailing from Villupuram, Ramadas came to Chennai in search of opportunities in cinema. He started his journey as a writer and then directed several films as a director.

Under his direction, movies like Raja Raja Than, Ravana, Swayaamvaram, Ayaar Pooja Malarattum, Hajju Demokram, Nencham Aundu Neermai Aundu were released and received popular acclaim. He became a writer in many films and played character roles in people’s minds. He has played lead roles in various hit films like Khaki Chattai, Inquira, Aram, Vikram Vedha, Maari 2 etc.
