Azerbaijani war criminal Kyamil Zeynalli, arrested at the Moscow airport and wanted for beheading an old man from Artsakh during the 44-day war and committing a number of other war crimes, has been released. His lawyer stated that “with the efforts of the Azerbaijani authorities, he was released and will go to Baku”.
Meanwhile, the RA authorities, as it turned out, did not even make efforts to extradite the Azerbaijani wanted by RA to Armenia, to implement justice in Armenia.
Referring to the news about the search and arrest, the General Prosecutor’s Office of RA stated that “The Prosecutor’s Office does not have official information”. The CC did not respond to the information in any way and only the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia later officially confirmed the fact of the interstate search for the murder of Zeinalli by the Republic of Armenia.
According to what articles the criminal is wanted, it is not the authorities belonging to the Republic of Armenia, but the Azerbaijani mass media, according to which the Azerbaijani is accused of crimes against humanity, war crimes against a sponsored person, war crimes using prohibited methods of waging war, and mercenary. .
As for whether RA appealed to the Russian law enforcement agencies with a petition, demanding the transfer of the Azerbaijani war criminal to Armenia or not, it was not clear.
It was not possible to get any proper answer from the General Prosecutor’s Office of RA to “Pastinfo” questions about whether they have turned to Russia, demanding the extradition of the Azerbaijani. The General Prosecutor’s Office only indicated to contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding the search and arrest of the Azerbaijani. Although, according to the law, the Prosecutor General has such authority, nevertheless, the media also appealed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to find out whether a petition was finally submitted or not, whether a process is being implemented. The Ministry of Internal Affairs also said: “Refer to the prosecutor’s office on that issue.”
In fact, the RA authorities did not make any effort, they did not even submit a petition, as a result, the war criminal was released.
