Finance sets objectives for holding meeting of Ministerial Council for Economy in Kurdistan Region

The Ministry of Finance has set the objectives for holding the meeting of the Ministerial Council for the Economy in the Kurdistan Region.

The Ministry of Finance stated in a statement received by the (INA), that “in the presence of the Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, the Ministerial Council for the Economy will hold its meeting tomorrow, Sunday, in Erbil,” indicating that “the Council will discuss financial and economic issues with the region, which revolve around several points, the most important of which is discussing the constitutional rights stipulated in the Iraqi Constitution for the Kurdistan Region, and examining the financial entitlements of the region according to the agreed upon mechanisms, as well as discussing all pending issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government.”
She added, “The visit aims to enhance cooperation between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government in the economic and financial fields, and to resolve the outstanding problems between the two sides in accordance with the constitution and applicable laws, in addition to developing relations between Baghdad and Erbil in a way that serves the interests of the Iraqi people.”
