Xbox is rolling out a handy new feature that makes it easier to find games you own across different devices. The update introduces a “Play Anywhere” filter within your library.
This new option will be located within the “Capabilities” filters in the “My Games & Apps” section. It joins existing filters like 4K, 120FPS, Ray Tracing, and Smart Delivery.
“For those who like to play games across multiple devices, you can now quickly find your Xbox Play Anywhere games in your collection by using the Xbox Play Anywhere filter found in the Capabilities filter list.”
This development comes as Xbox Play Anywhere has been a significant focus for Microsoft. The timing is particularly relevant with upcoming devices like the ROG Xbox Ally. This new filter will be incredibly useful for identifying games that will work seamlessly on such PC-like handhelds without requiring a separate purchase for the PC version.
Additionally, the latest preview update ensures that the last game you played will always be visible on your recently played list, regardless of the device used. This feature aims to allow players to “seamlessly jump back into games you might have started elsewhere.” It complements Xbox’s new “Play History” tab, which was recently detailed.
Will you make use of this new Xbox feature when it rolls out to your console?
