Firefighters Battle Blaze at Family Home Under Construction Near Žilina, Slovakia

Approximately two dozen firefighters are currently responding to a fire that erupted at a family home under construction in the village of Cherry, near Žilina, Slovakia, shortly after 8:00 PM local time. The swift response, coordinated by the Regional Operations Center of the fire and Rescue Service in Žilina, initially deployed 12 firefighters and four vehicles to the scene.

according to initial reports, the fire is concentrated on the roof of the unfinished structure, with thick smoke visible in the surrounding area. Firefighters were quickly augmented by members of the DHZ Cherry volunteer fire brigade, DHZO rosina, and additional professional crews from Žilina, demonstrating a coordinated regional response to the emergency.

“The situation is evolving rapidly, and crews are working diligently to contain the blaze and prevent further spread,” a senior official stated.

The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time,and an investigation will be launched once the fire is fully extinguished.
