First Bahrain Golden Visa to MA Yousafzai, Chairman, Lulu Group

Manama | MA Yousafzai, an expatriate businessman and chairman of the Lulu Group, is the first person to receive a 10-year Golden Visa announced by Bahrain. The decision to grant the first Golden Visa No. 001 to MA Yousafzai was taken at a cabinet meeting held at Gudaibia Palace today.

Yusufali said the award was a “very proud and humble moment in my life” and thanked King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Prime Minister and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Government of Bahrain. He added that the decision by the authorities to announce the Golden Visa would enhance Bahrain’s image as one of the major investment and trade hubs in the region and attract and retain new investors.

Yousafzai also met with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and Crown Prince Salman, the Prime Minister of Bahrain. Last Monday, Bahrain announced that it would issue Golden Residency visas with the aim of attracting global talent along with increased investment. At the time of the announcement, the authorities had stated that they hoped that the launch of this visa would be a leap forward at all levels in line with Vision 2030.
