The first day of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup competition has started at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Day.Az reported on Friday with reference to Trend.

Today there will be qualifying competitions among gymnasts performing in the individual program. The Graces will present exercises with a hoop and a ball. There will also be qualifications among teams in group exercises, which will demonstrate compositions with five hoops.

It should be noted that the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is taking place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on April 19-21. Over 110 gymnasts from more than 40 countries take part in the competition.

Gymnasts perform in a program of individual and group exercises. Athletes compete for awards in individual subjects and in the all-around.

Eight sets of medals will be awarded at the World Cup. According to tradition, the AGF Trophy will be awarded to the athlete and team in group exercises who receive the highest score for their performance.

Azerbaijan is represented at the World Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics by Zohra Agamirova and Kamilla Gafarova in the individual program, as well as a team in group exercises consisting of Gullyu Agalarzadeh, Kamilla Seyidzadeh, Elizaveta Luzan, Daria Sorokina, Lyaman Alimuradova and Zeinab Gummetova.
