Riyadh: Saudi Arabia is preparing to send two people, including a woman, into space. The Saudi Space Commission revealed plans to send a woman and another person to the International Space Station.
She will become the first Saudi woman to travel in space. The commission launched the Saudi Astronauts Program, which aims to train young Saudi women for long and short space missions to participate in scientific experiments, international research and future space-related missions.

Through this, the Saudi Space Commission aims to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the space sector and its industries at the global level and to contribute to governments serving humanity in priority areas such as health, sustainability and space technology.
Visitor visas to Qatar are suspended
Doha: In the wake of FIFA World Cup, visitor visas are temporarily suspended in Qatar. Visitors entering the country by land, air and sea are controlled. Ministry of Interior officials informed that only Haya card holders will be allowed to enter Qatar from November 1.

Visit visas will resume from 23 December 2022. The Ministry of Interior said the decision is part of controlling the number of people arriving in Qatar during the World Cup. This is applicable only for visitor visas. Qatar resident visa holders, Qatari nationals, GCC nationals with Qatari ID, personnel recruitment visas, employment visas and humanitarian cases will be allowed to enter Qatar by air.
