ROMA. The Lazio Regional Administrative Court rejected the appeals presented by Stefano Maldifassi against the candidacy of Flavio Roda and the results of the Federal Assembly of the Fisi which had re-elected him president in 2022. The TAR – underlines the Fisi itself in a note – “judged the appeals to be unfounded both in procedure and in merit, recognizing the full legitimacy of the provisions of the Statute and of the Rof (Federal Organic Regulations) of the Fisi on electoral matters, and their consistency with the laws and regulations of the sports system”.
President Roda expressed satisfaction: “I have said in every circumstance that we must have patience, waiting for justice to take its course, respecting those who also have different opinions, but without useless proclamations and exploitation. Today I am happy that, compared to an accusation that touched the serenity of all those who work and commit themselves for the good of the Federation, it was recognized that we always operate with full legitimacy and respect for everyone, even when we are unjustly attacked”.
