For the eighteenth time, the Classic Gala in the spacious Schwetzingen Palace Park will be waiting for you on the first weekend in September with precious automobiles and lots of other stuff. The organizers are once again staging around 160 classics in the park, which was recently awarded the European Garden Prize. Topics include 120 years of Cadillac, 110 years of Bertone and the Röhr cars from Ober-Ramstadt in southern Hesse. Around 4,000 tubes were built between 1927 and 1935, just under 30 survived, 15 of which will be on display. There are also rare one-offs on site, such as the Glas M61 or the Kaiser tricycle from the 1930s. Admission costs eight euros, concessions only four. (fbs.)
