The Azerbaijan Greco-Roman wrestling championship among youth under 20 ended today.
As Idman.biz reports, on the last day the “classics” determined the strongest in five categories.
The champions were Tural Akhmedov, Farid Khalilov, Davud Mamedov, Ali Guliyev and Mezahim Mardanov.

The Azerbaijan Championship in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling among boys under 20 will end today.
According to İdman.biz, on the last day of the competition the “classics” will perform in 5 more weight categories.
The strongest will be determined by athletes in the 60 kg, 67 kg, 77 kg, 87 kg and 130 kg weight categories.
The main goal of the championship, held at the Baku Sports Palace, is to form a national youth team (U-20).
A day ago, the winners in five weight categories in Greco-Roman wrestling were announced. Turan Dashdamirov (55 kg), Mohammad Shukurzade (63 kg), Faig Safarli (72 kg), Ismail Rzayev (82 kg) and Mikail Ismailov (97 kg) rose to the top of the podium, finishing the final matches with victory.
Please note that all the freestyle winners have been determined. Vasif Bagirov (57 kg), Jamal Abbasov (61 kg), Musa Verdiyev (65 kg), Ramik Heybatov (70 kg), Akhmed Akhmedli (74 kg), Nuridin Magommedgadzhiev (79 kg), Sadig Mustafazadeh (86 kg), Anar Jafarli (92 kg), Khetag Karsanov (97 kg) and Muhammad Gantemirov (125 kg) won the title of champion of Azerbaijan.
