Football: DTN aims to ‍achieve, ⁤in the long term, a ⁤workforce of 50% of Botola players within ‍the⁣ national “A” team

Casablanca -‍ The National Technical ⁣Directorate (DTN), reporting to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), has implemented a strategy for the ⁣development of national football, aiming, in the long term, ⁢to ensure that the national “A” ‌team has a workforce of 50% of players playing abroad and 50% from Botola Pro.

The current squad⁣ of the national A team is made up​ of 90% of players playing abroad and only⁤ 10% from the local championship, as⁢ stated ‌in a ⁣press⁢ release published on the FRMF website‍ following a meeting held by the DTN with the coaches and staff of ‌the different categories.

During this‌ meeting, the National Technical Director, Chris Van Puyvelde,⁤ outlined the requirements of modern ​high-level football, emphasizing the⁤ concepts of verticality and ​decision-making, while highlighting the⁤ foundations of the DTN development‌ pyramid, which includes training, scouting,​ regionalization plans, regional training ⁤centers,​ and support for clubs.

During the meeting, Mr. Roy Pieters, head of detection at the DTN, presented the DTN action plan, which outlines a game philosophy focused⁤ on tactical and technical requirements in possession and loss⁤ of the ball.
