(ANSA) – MILAN, AUGUST 12 - “After a period of reflection, Alice and I have made the decision to separate.” This is how AC Milan striker Alvaro Morata revealed his decision to separate from his wife Alice Campello, in a post on Instagram. “They have been wonderful years and the fruit of this are our four children, who are undoubtedly the best thing we have ever done,” continued the Spanish player, who married Campello in 2017 in Venice. “It is a painful decision, so we ask for respect and empathy. Do not make up stories for a moment of protagonism because, I repeat: there has never been a lack of respect, only many continuous misunderstandings that over time wear things down. Alice will always have a special place in my heart.” Campello herself added: “It is the most difficult decision we have made in our lives. I want to specify, as he did, that there were no third parties nor any type of disrespect on the part of both of us. We could not have loved each other more than we did and it continues to be so but there comes a time when so many small, stupid and poorly managed arguments accumulate that things little by little break and explode”.
