For peaceful coexistence, services from the Houses of Justice will be in the territories of Santiago de Cali

Bringing justice closer to the citizen in an agile manner is the purpose of the Secretariat of Security and District Justice when launching the strategy ‘Itinerant Houses of Justice’which will tour the neighborhoods with the greatest difficulties for coexistence.

The commitment allows the attention of the Houses of Justice of Cali to be decentralized, to take them to the territories. This week, in the Obrero neighborhood, the first mobile citizen service day was held, where information, guidance and access to justice was brought to residents of commune 9, eliminating barriers.

More than 250 people, including residents and passersby of the Obrero neighborhood park, approached the service stations, which concentrated services from the District Administration and decentralized entities.

“Bringing justice services closer to the territories is synonymous with guaranteeing coexistence and trying to have safe spaces for everyone. Reconcile problems between neighbors in time; Helping to resolve differences and protect people’s rights are actions that we promote from the Houses of Justice to mitigate conflicts and problems from advancing to greater levels,” explained Luis Eduardo Varela, Undersecretary of Access to Justice Services of the House of Justice. The services most consulted by citizens are: free legal advice on family issues (alimony conciliations, custody, divorce proceedings); coexistence problems (rents, small debts, differences between neighbors); and advice for the protection of rights (guardianships, petition rights, among others).

Likewise, they go to the family police stations e police inspections in search of information on care routes against all types of violence, mainly gender-based and against boys, girls, adolescents and young people.

“These spaces are fundamental in the role of reconciling and ‘recover’ to Cali. The Itinerant Houses of Justice They are a joint exercise and effort to provide timely and efficient care to the community, bringing institutions and justice closer,” concluded Luis Eduardo Varela.

The next days of the strategy ‘Itinerant Houses of Justice’ They will be announced through local and community media, so that the presence in the territory is effective for the benefit of the communities. They will have the participation of Sisbén, Colpensiones, District Personería, Metropolitan Police and programs of the Mayor’s Office of Santiago de Cali such as Senior Citizens, Zoonosis Center and vaccination.
