“Of course we believe in two-state policy. But peace lies in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital based on the 1967 borders. Otherwise, there will never be peace in that region,’ he said.

The foreign minister said, “We would hope that those who supply weapons to Israel, those weapons are being used to kill innocent women, children and civilians, even aid workers in the Western world.” After that, the supply of arms to Israel will stop.

Earlier, in the memorial meeting, the foreign minister respectfully remembered advocate Ataur Rahman Shamim, the founder editor of Saptahik Ganabangla, the founding leader of United States Awami League, who died in a fire at Bailey Road in Dhaka recently and wished his departed soul peace.

Hasan Mahmood emphasized on adequate fire fighting system in the buildings and highlighted the contribution of Sheikh Hasina Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in the treatment of burn victims.
