In view of the discussion, India’s Commerce Minister said that 50 thousand metric tons of sugar and 20 thousand metric tons of onion should be exempted now. I have asked for 1 lakh metric tons of sugar and 50 thousand metric tons of onions.

He said that cooperation has been sought to keep the prices of daily commodities normal in Bangladesh in view of the upcoming Ramadan.

The Foreign Minister said that Indian President Draupadi Murmu has been invited to visit Bangladesh. He accepted the invitation. Our Prime Minister has been informed about this.

The Foreign Minister also said that the invitation letter has been officially sent to the President of India.

In the press briefing, the minister also said about Myanmar, ‘Bangladesh and India – both countries have borders with Myanmar. He also said that the process of evacuating the diplomats of the Bangladesh Consulate from Sitte, the capital of Rakhine, is underway.
