India‘s Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra is coming on a visit to Bangladesh. He will be accompanied by senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to a source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Saturday (April 20). Quatra’s visit to Dhaka is said to finalize Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to India.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit India after the Lok Sabha elections. Prime Minister is likely to visit India in the last week of July. For this reason, the officials of the two countries have given the impression that a proposal will be made by India. It is said that India expects Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to visit Delhi before her visit to China.
During his visit to Dhaka, Quatra will hold a meeting with Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen on bilateral relations. The last meeting between the foreign secretaries of the two countries was held last November regarding the implementation and progress of FOC decisions.
Apart from the meeting with the Foreign Secretary, Quatra is scheduled to have a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
