The regulatory body Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has constituted a committee to investigate the irregularities of merchant bank SFIL Finance PLC (previously known as Strategic Finance and Investment Limited), a member of Punjibazar.
This decision was taken at the 921st commission meeting on Wednesday (September 18) under the chairmanship of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Khandkar Rashed Maqsood. After the meeting, BSEC Director and Spokesperson Farhana Farooqui signed this information in a press release.
As mentioned in the notification, a three-member inquiry committee has been constituted to investigate the matter of Strategic Finance Limited (Merchant Banker).
Meanwhile, BSEC has formed a three-member investigation committee against Strategic Equity Management, an asset manager that manages mutual funds belonging to the capital market. The report will be submitted to the inquiry committee within 60 working days.
