CHENNAI: The car of Vetri, 45, son of former Chennai Corporation Mayor Saithai Duraisamy, fell into the Sutlej River in Himachal Pradesh.
Rescuers are actively searching for him. After three days of rescue operations, no success was found.

It has been reported that Saidai Duraisamy has said that he will be offered Rs 1 crore if he gives information about his son Vetri Duraisamy, who went missing in the Sutlej river.

They were returning to the airport in a hired car to return to Chennai after completing their Himachal Pradesh tour. At that time, the driver, Tanjin, suddenly suffered chest pain while the car was driving on the Kashang Nala hill. Due to this, the car lost control and ran in a different direction and fell into the river Sutlej which was running in a 200 feet gorge.
Disaster rescue teams reached the spot and rushed to rescue the car and its occupants.
The car lying submerged in water in the river Sutlej was tied to a rope and pulled to the bank. Then the driver Tanjin was found dead inside the car.
The police, who seized his body, rescued Gopinath, Vetri’s assistant, who was fighting for life with severe injuries in the valley area and admitted him to the hospital.

Vetri was very interested in taking pictures of the creatures living in the forest. He used to go to the forest from time to time, stay there and take pictures.
