/ Former Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a speech before the conference of the Iranian Mardom Salari (Democracy) Party that the main problem of the Islamic Republic of Iran is the misunderstanding of the situation and making decisions based on a wrong understanding, which led to crises and irreparable losses, according to his expression.

Zarif added in his speech, which was reported by Iranian media and translated by Agency from Persian, that the origin of the misunderstanding among the leaders of the Islamic Republic is their misunderstanding of the world and international relations, stressing that the leaders of Iran still believe that they live in a bipolar world and make their decisions based on this assumption, while “America’s actions have changed and we are not in a bipolar world,” according to Zarif.

Zarif explained that the leaders of the Islamic Republic still expect that they will have a polar relationship in the world, and according to this expectation, they expect that a new pole will be formed, “in the name of the pole, for example, the East, or the multipolar world, and that by adhering to one pole, they will benefit from its support,” adding, “Today’s world is a single network, and some of its activists are not countries at all.”

Zarif implicitly referred to the leaders of the Islamic Republic or the supporters of the leader of the Islamic Republic as supporting the idea of turning to the East (Russia and China) in foreign policy, explaining that China will not enter the geopolitical game with the United States, and that China will not be willing to enter the geopolitical game with America in defense of the Islamic Republic, adding, “We do not have a correct understanding of the conditions of the world and its power.”

In another part of his speech, Zarif asked, “Do you think China and Russia respect US sanctions?” [ضد إيران] Less than Europe?” he said, stressing that China would not sacrifice hundreds of billions of dollars in foreign trade. [مع الولايات المتحدة] “For $50 billion in trade with Iran,” and “the same principle applies to Russia. We should not say that Russia is ready to die for Iran, and we should not expect that at all.
