Pregarten, January 5, 2026 – A traffic accident in Pregarten, Austria, on Sunday evening left four people, including two small children, injured and requiring hospitalization, according to reports.
A collision between two vehicles at an intersection in Pregarten resulted in injuries to a 63-year-old woman, a 36-year-old woman, and two children aged one and five.
- A 63-year-old driver failed to yield while turning left, causing a collision.
- The driver of the oncoming vehicle, a 38-year-old man, was uninjured.
- The injured were transported to the Linz Accident Hospital for treatment.
- The accident caused temporary traffic disruptions on the B124.
The accident occurred when a 63-year-old woman from the Freistadt district was driving from Hagenberg im Mühlkreis towards Pregarten and attempted to turn left at an intersection, overlooking an oncoming vehicle, police said. The oncoming car, driven by a 38-year-old man from the Perg district, was unable to avoid the collision. The 38-year-old driver was not injured in the collision.
