Kinshasa, 11 mars 2023 (ACP). – Four (4) new people have been declared cured of Covid-19 in North Kivu in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), reported the daily bulletin of the Multisectoral Committee for the Response to Covid-19 reached the ACP on Saturday.

The same source informs that no confirmed case of Covid-19 was recorded on Thursday out of a total of 878 samples tested throughout the national territory.

Since the start of vaccination against Covid-19 in the DRC on April 19, 2021, 10,893,593 (ten million eight ninety-three thousand five hundred and ninety-three) people have been vaccinated (20.18% of the target population). 882,106 people, or 1.65% of the target population, received their first dose and 8,576,320 (15.89% of the target population) were fully vaccinated. The target population to be vaccinated is estimated at 53.9 million people.

All provinces were affected by this epidemic as follows: Kinshasa (50,882 cases); North Kivu (10,776 cas) ; Upper Katanga (7,028 cases) ; Central Congo (6,555 cases); Lualaba (6,124 cas) ; South Kivu (4,058 cas) ; Upper Uele (1,705 cases); Shop( 1,583 cas) ; Ituri( 1,444 cas) ; Eastern Kasai (957 cases); South Ubangi (903 cases); Ecuador ( 615 cases); Central Kasai (561 cases); Kasai (493 cases); Maniema (354 cases) ; Lomami (341 cases); North Ubangi (292 cases); Kwilu (230 cas) ; Moon (207 cases) ; Tshuapa (154 cas) ; Blackwater (129 cases); Kwango (127 cases); Lower Uele (108 cases); High Hill (91 cases) ; Tanganyika (62 cas) ; Sankuru (58 cases).

Since the declaration of the epidemic in the DRC on March 10, 2020, the cumulative number of cases is 95,845, including 95,843 laboratory-confirmed cases and 2 probable cases. In total, there have been 84,383 people cured and 1,464 deaths so far. ACP/KHM/KPP
