We know four of the eight posters for the round of 16 of this 2022 World Cup.
We are halfway through the last day of the group stages. And while we don’t yet know all the teams that have qualified for the knockout stage, we do know which will be the first four round of 16.
In Group A, the Netherlands qualified by finishing top of the group. They will therefore face the second in group B, namely the United States. Second in Group A, Senegal will face England, who finished top of Pool B.
England or Senegal if the Blues qualify for the quarter-finals
The France team, the first nation to qualify for the round of 16 after their two victories in the first two games, finished top of group D. And this despite the last misstep against Tunisia. Didier Deschamps’ men will then face Poland, second in Pool C.
By winning against Poland, Argentina took the lead in Group C. Lionel Messi’s teammates will therefore face Australia, surprisingly second behind France, after their victory over Denmark.
