Extensive Route Network for 2026
This year’s free *mudik* program covers an expansive network of 34 cities across 10 provinces. Destinations include Palembang, Lampung, Bengkulu, Padang, Medan, Aceh, Garut, Tasikmalaya, Cirebon, Kuningan, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Wonogiri, Purwokerto, Tegal, Pekalongan, Demak, Boyolali, Klaten, Pati, Blora, Cilacap, Wonosobo, Kebumen, Magelang, Wonosari, Jepara, Sragen, Madiun, Surabaya, Tuban, Malang, and Tulungagung. This broad coverage aims to serve a wider range of travelers and connect more communities during the Lebaran season.
Return journeys will be available from 12 cities in 8 provinces: Kuningan, Madiun, Surabaya, Palembang, Padang, Medan, Aceh, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Wonogiri, and Purwokerto. This ensures that travelers can easily return to their places of work or residence after celebrating Lebaran with family.
Motorcycle Transportation Also Available
Recognizing the popularity of motorcycle travel during *mudik*, the program also offers dedicated transportation for motorcycles. Eight trucks will be available to transport 240 motorcycles, providing a safer alternative to riding long distances. This service is particularly useful for those who rely on motorcycles for daily transportation but prefer a more secure option for the long *mudik* journey.
The cities included for motorcycle transport during both the outbound and return legs are Solo, Yogyakarta, Wonogiri, and Purwokerto. This targeted approach aims to address the specific needs of motorcycle travelers in these key regions.
Departure Schedules and Safety Measures
The outbound *mudik* departures are scheduled over three days from five different terminals. Buses will depart from Terminal Pondok Cabe (Tangerang Selatan) on March 16, 2026, followed by departures from Terminal Jatijajar (Depok) and Terminal Pulogebang (Jakarta) on March 17, 2026. Finally, buses will depart from Terminal Kampung Rambutan (Jakarta) and Terminal Poris Plawad (Tangerang) on March 18, 2026.
Return journeys will commence on March 25, 2026, from terminals in Bulupitu (Purwokerto), Mangkang (Semarang), Giwangan (Yogyakarta), Tirtonandi (Solo), Giri Adipura (Wonogiri), Kertawangunan (Kuningan), Purboyo (Madiun), Bungurasih (Surabaya), Alang-Alang Lebar (Palembang), Anak Air (Padang), Amplas (Medan), and Batoh (Aceh).
Motorcycle transport will begin on March 16, 2026, with motorcycles being collected at Terminal Pondok Cabe (Tangerang Selatan) and dispatched later that evening.
